The origins of the Internet

The idea of a tool to empower the information is not new. This story can be traced back to the Dr. Vannevar Bush with the "memex machine" which dikonsepkannya in the year 1945. Bush, U.S. president Office of Scientific Research and Development during World War II, predicting the development of a tool where we can hold a book, record, and our communication and presenting data on a screen.

Memex machine is capable of storing a collection of information for hundreds of years, including a long record, comments and photos. With the associative index system people can create and maintain rapport among all the content that is important information for a time is easy to find and correlate the data collection that much.

Bush's memex machine described as a large real table with a store-operated microfilm using mechanical levers, may be comparable to the Wizard of Oz story, a witch who works behind the scenes. However, analysis of the problems faced, not enough information how we handle the time-and solution-a device that stores and organizes all the information is fundamentally correct-all. He essentially described a multimedia PC connected to the web, but with the language of mechanistic technology in 1945. He even had predicted the existence of search engines is equivalent to that of the Internet, which "provides easy roads to enter the jungle of information."
